Stewardship
Dave Gust - I joined New Hope in 2001 with my wife Peggy. We had moved to our home in Brookeville after a 34-year career in the Army. We had attended Army chapel programs for many years, and wanted to join a smaller church where "everyone knows your name." During my youth, my family had attended Presbyterian churches, and I also attended a Presbyterian Student Program in college. The attraction of New Hope for Peggy and me was the annual outreach in mission support. |

Christian Education
Sandy Haldane - I was born and raised in Alaska and I am a member of the Tshimshean Tribe of Metlakatla, the only Indian Reservation in the State of Alaska. I grew up in Anchorage and attended Trinity United Presbyterian Church. I met Mark Anderson at the American Cancer Society's 24 Hour Relay for Life in May 1995. Mark, my sons Cole (9) and Stevie (5), our family dog Fanny, and I moved to Maryland in October 2003 when I accepted a took the position as Chief Nurse of the Indian Health Service (IHS). I welcome any and all suggestions on how to better meet the Christian Education needs of the New Hope family. |

Evangalism
Shelley Kluska - My husband Kevin and children (Nicholas, Joshua, and Sophia) are so blessed to have New Hope Presbyterian Church in our life. I grew up in a small church in Ohio. Kevin and I sought a church to call our own for many years. From the minute we walked in the door, we knew we were at home. The family wamth and support is beyond description. In addition to enjoying time at New Hope, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting friends, home improvements, and scrapbooking. I work full-time as a manager of a team developing software of the U.S. Government. |

Family
Darlene Gebieke - My family came to NHPC in 20001 after our daughter left for college, prior to that we were active in another local presbyterian church. We enjoy the family atmosphere and the closeness at NHPC where everybody knows your name. I've been an oncology nurse for the past 13 years, where my faith has helped me help patients deal with not always the best outcome in cancer. I have two children, one a teacher and one a junior in college. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and both have been active in the church for over 22 years. |
