VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2011
Registration Due by July 15th
Come join us August 1st to 5th from 9:30am to noon for Vacation Bible School. Children four-year olds to fourth grade will find out what happens when a pack of fun-loving pandas invade New Hope Presbyterian Church!
It will be the wildest VBS you have ever seen! We will explore amazing Bible adventures, sample yummy snacks, and make cool crafts. At PandaMania, kids will explore Psalm 139 and find that God listens to them, watches over them, and loves them ... no matter what!
At PandaMania, kids will learn one important Bible Point each day. Bible Points will be reinforced daily through Bible adventures, Bible verses, songs, and hands-on activities that help kids know more about God and his love for them.

• Day 1 - God made you.
• Day 2 - God listens to you.
• Day 3 - God watches over you.
• Day 4 - God loves you, no matter what.
• Day 5 - God gives good gifts.

I'm Fez. I have amazing colors. God made me super cool! I will
help kids to learn God made them cool too! On the first day, we will learn Genesis 1 when God creates the world. Our key verse from Psalm will be 139:14 "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!"

Amanda here. My ears stick up because I like to listen. My ears remind me that God listens! On the second day, we learn the story of Elijah confronting the prophets of Baal in 1Kings 18:16-39. Our key verse from Psalm will be 129:4 "You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.”

My name is Boomer. The black and white of my fur reminds me that God watches over us in darkness and light. On the third day, I will help kids experience the story of Jonah as he tries to escape from God in Jonah 1-3. Our key verse from Psalm will be 139:12 "Even in the darkness I cannot hide from you.”

I'm Pogo. I'm a snow leopard cub who gets into trouble sometimes. But God loves me no matter what. On the fourth day, we learn that Jesus dies and comes back to life from Luke 22:31-24:12. Our key verse from Psalm will be 129:24 "Lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

Greetings from Lulu. Don't let the blue face fool you ... my a golden monkey. My blue face is a gift from God. God gives good gifts. On the fifth day, I will help kids learn about God giving Hannah a baby in 1 Samuel 1:1-2:11. Our key verse from Psalm will be 139:5 "You place your hand of blessing on my head."

It’s easy to read about incredible miracles in the Bible and quietly wonder why God doesn't do those things today. But God is active in our everyday lives ... we just have to learn to look. At PandaMania, we will encourage kids to look for evidence of God in things like a sunset, a rainstorm, a laugh, a kind word, or a tasty snack. We call those things God Sightings.
It's gonna be a bamboo blast!!
